the spending power of patients increased, many
corporate are coming up and investing in healthcare
industry and increasing their efforts to meet
challenges of quality standards. Health care
industry is set for rapid growth. Hospitals are
expected to deliver quality services 24hours a day
at a minimal cost. The urgent nature of its work and
the level of efficiency that is expected to have
increased the need of well trained health
professional and leaders. The Gujarat government,
recognizing the need for nurturing future talents to
service this vital sector of economy and to improve
the quality of healthcare delivery, has supported
the Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University to
setup the Department of Hospital Management. The
Department with the objective of adhering to the
best standards has adopted student admission
criteria for medical and paramedical undergraduates
through entrance examination. The torchbearers
churned out of department, aptly christened as
