Consumer Education & Managerial Changes in Crisis & Coping Strategies HSFRM (104) 


Objectives : 

To aware the students about consumer awareness. 
To develop knowledge about consumer protection 
To learn the students how to behave as a consumer. 
To learn the students some difficult situations come under management and how to solve the problems. 
To aware about some strategies which overcome the difficulties coming in household management. 

Course Content :
Unit-I 
Types of Economy System with focus on consumer behavior and welfare Capitalistic, Communist, Socialistic, mixed, Pre-enterprise. Silent features and different research trends Liberalization and Globalization – Impact on the economy and the market. Types of different competitive markets Vs consumer behavior & welfare. Analyzing consumer behaviors for identify marketing, opportunities of factors, influencing consumer buying practices, culture – social, psychological, personal & technological & collective consumption. 
Unit-II 
Kotler’s and Maslaw’s models at consumer behavior and Hergberg’s theory of motivation. Market research for studying consumer behavior from marketing perspective what is market research? Methodology segmentation analysis & motivation research. 
Unit-III 

  1. Consumer buying decision process - buying roles. 

  2. Types of buying behavior. Stages in buying decision process. 

  3. Purchase decision and post purchase action. 

  4. Historical Analysis of the family. 

  5. Family development, life style, strategies, understanding social changes, assessing the potential for change in the family. 

  6. Non-traditional family forms. Such as single hood, voluntary childless, single parent family, remarriage, reconstructing family. 

Unit-IV 
Family life in a changing world, assessing family resources & factors affecting use of resources. Crisis – Definition, Classification, resulting due to situation such as – Dismemberment, Dismodernisation Assessing deterioration, skill needed to handle crisis such as pace of change, previous experience planning of crisis situations, level of problems, attitude towards problems, magnitude hocy. Superating friends, relatives, social expectation of peer, community & family, custom, personal maturity resource- fullness, in well in crisis solution. 
Unit-V 
Developing human resources developed most crucial resources to successful management. Improve personal resource that cause the greatest difficulty develops the resource that great amount of satisfaction principles of human resource develop managing human resources. Methods and techniques for improving resources & their use – the questioning approach – redefining the problem – developing work efficiency. Improving work condition. Changing of attitudes – coping strategies in changing family styles. 

Practical List :

  1. To survey of consumer behavior for buying consumable (take different Age & Sex Respondents), Prepare report and present it to the class. 

  2. Preparing an Interview schedule to know factors influencing buying behavior. 

  3. Preparing a display of brand products with their brand mark to know standard product. 

  4. Learning Simple adult ration detection techniques. 

  5. Evaluating few advertisement from consumers point of view.
