Unit-I
Pregnancy – Physiological & Psychological changes, Complications during pregnancy. Fontal development – placenta – functions fontal blood circulation, Amniotic fulmid – its functions, Hormonal importance in pregnancy & luefation.
Factors determining nutritional needs for pregnant & lactating women. Nutritional consideration during pregnancy and luetation. Factors influencing the Nutritional status of the pregnant & lactating women.

Methods of feeding – schedule of feeding. – Nutrition for preschool & school children Growth & development.

Parenthood – Meaning, Importance, duties & role. Effect of family structure on parenthood.
Effect of culture and family tradition. Parent hood & planning of family. Methods of child rearing practice.
Unit-IV
Parent-Child relationship effect of education on child rearing problem ocaurs during handling of children. Techniques & Methods of handling problems. Use of tests & other source of information – interviews, personal databank – collection of data from parent & significance of others.
Unit-V
Therapactical procedure – play – therapy, group therapy, activity therapy, behavior therapy, Ramadial & corrective measures Comceling the parents, individual and group, follow up study, and evaluation. Organization of child guidance centers, equipments and requirements in terms of education and training child care and welfare / agencies.
