(B) ENGLISH
· Elementary acquaintance with following terms: plot, character, theme, setting, dialogue, diction, dialect, wit, humor, irony, rhythm, conflict, suspense, episode, climax, anti hero,
protagonist, catastrophe, chorus, poetic justice, catharsis, symbol, legend, allegory, myth, allusion, heroic.
· Short stories: definition, characteristics, growth and development. (Stories to be decided by the teachers)
· Salient feature of Drama and other forms of literature- Drama and novel; drama and poetry.
· Study of one play each by Shakespeare/Moliere.( Name to be decided by teacher)
