PAPER I : THEORY - 1       : BASICS OF ACTING-II


Objectives 

·                     Students gain insight in to the knowledge of acting, element of drama, types of   drama, origin and development of drama.

·                    Focus on building foundation in the craft of acting by extending the actors’ apparatus of voice, body, mind and spirit corroborated with sharpening their imagination, sensitivity and        

            tapping their emotional resources that introduce them to find the actor within.

·                    Movement classes: in addition to expanding body flexibility and developing the actor’s ability to relax and tense when needed, will also focus on breaking down inhabitations, building 

            ensembles sprit, and providing the necessary tools to bring physical dimension of their roles. 

·         Definition of Acting.

·         Acting both art and science.

·         Natyashastra: Bharatamuni’s Theory of Acting and Rasas.

·          Movement, Body language, Voice & Speech: Important tools for communication.

·         Importance of Relaxation, Concentration, Observation, Imagination and Flexibility in acting.
