PAPER I : THEORY - 1 : A STUDY OF SELF AND APPLICATION TO ACTING-I
Objectives:
· Intensify study of self and increase general awareness of environment.
· The yogic technique mainly meant to aid the development of the physical mental intellectual and spirituals levels for an all round development of human personality. *
· Breathing exercises enhance expressive and free voice.
· Voice must be trained to be heard (through pitch & volume adjustment), understood (through proper diction and articulation) and also felt (through expression).
· Through games and exercises, students learn how to let their imaginations run wild, how to play well with others in the moments- free from anticipating or planning what to do next.
· Improvisation helps to encounter self consciousness, and develop spontaneous response to the unfolding of an unexpected situation in a truthful way.
· Essential qualities of a good actor.
· Self discovery and its application to the art of acting.
