Paper-II Commercial Communication in English

OBJECTIVE :-

        This courses in basically means for partial purposes. It aims at :
        (I)   Acquainting students with specific commercial terms to comprehend business and banking  correspondence.
        (II)  developing skills of drafting letters for commercial purposes, and
        (III) developing skills of drafting resolutions and questionnaires for specific purposes.

SYLLABUS IN DETAIL :

        (I)    VOCABULARY :

     (III) BANK CORRESPONDENCE :
              Drafting of letters as a customer is required to write to the bank regarding the following:
              2.01    Request for stop-payment of cheques.
              2.02    Request for change of address and transfer of amount from a Saving Bank Account to the Recurring Account.
              2.03    Complaints regarding the errors in calculating interest and in the entries made in the passbook.
     (IV)  DEVELOPING A THEME :
        
To develop a theme in not more than 200 words, It will be for or against a proposition on a subject within the experience
            range of the students.
      (V)   DRAFTING  RESOLUTION :
               Drafting resolution for the meeting of a joint stock company {points to be given}
               4.01    Appointment of   Bankers/Auditors/Directors .
               4.02    Issue of new shares/Bonus shares/Right shares.
               4.03    Declaration of dividend.
     (VI)   FARMING QUESTIONNAIRES :
               Farming Questionnaires relating to be the following.
               5.01    Survey of the living candidates of the different sections of society.
               5.02    Marker research for a particular product.
     (VII) A PRESCRIBED TEXT-BOOK :
               An appropriate anthology of prose short stories will be prescribed the Board of studies from time to time.
