Objective:

To impart the knowledge and understanding of continuous structures.

 

Course Contents:-

  1. Introduction to indeterminate structures, advantages, disadvantages of indeterminate structures. Moment’s distribution method.

  2. Portal frames. Analysis by approximate methods of analysis.

  3. Arches and cables. Analysis of 3-hinged arches. Introduction to fixed arches.

  4. Influence lines and rolling loads.

Internal 60 %

Final 40 %
